SESD (Sculptural Electronic Sound Discs) with Dennis de Bel, Gert jan Prins, Tom Verbruggen & Gijs Gieskes is a research and production project which resulted in a box-set with four intriguing records. Two elements are combined into an active sound composition. Electronic circuits, eg converted consumer electronics or self-designed electronic units that are used as a tool in combination with self dub-cutted master plates of which prints are made in a limited amount by means of liquid plastics. Affinity with the material or tactile, the Do-It-Yourself attitude, and the handling of sound as an artistic sculptural data insertion resulted into physical and dynamic sound objects. Nicely together in a box-set. Very limited to 10 pieces.
