In january 2008 we invited our first guest for the COM.POST program. Peter Szely was working in DE PLAYER on his soundpiece about Rotterdam as a city of migration, about leaving and arriving. The field recordings of four walks or boattrips in the different wind-directions had served as a frame for his 8 channel soundpiece. Recordings of immigrants, playing their native instruments in Katendrecht, DE PLAYER home base for a while, had been processed through the computer and used as musical elements for 'Rotterdam: An Electric Poem'.
